We are a fiscal host, also known as a fiscal sponsor if you are in the USA. Fiscal hosting is where a legally registered organisation holds money on behalf of a community group, social movement or project that does not have the capacity or the desire to register as a formal legal entity. For the past five years we have been building the field of fiscal hosting in the UK, creating a safe and transparent way for groups to raise, manage and spend down funds without putting anyone at risk.
Fiscal hosting is at the heart of what we do, but our job of bringing civil society and philanthropy together goes further than that. We also build an ecosystem of wraparound support where groups meet each other, get training and draw on a pool of shared resources. We have built new products to help groups navigate the systems that hold them back. Most community groups are chronically underfunded and routinely left out of social and cultural design, and we have made it our work to change that.

We primarily do this through Open Collective, which lets your group accept donations and sponsorships, pay expenses and keep everyone up to date.
We sign grant agreements on behalf of your group, stepping in as the legal entity your funders can sign with. That takes risk out of the process for funders and unlocks wraparound support for you.
Our grant management team helps with financial planning and reporting, and acts as a sounding board on anything from fundraising and strategy to governance, employment and communications.
